About the project
Omolotto is a digital lottery platform developed by Greatest Interactive to provide a complete technology foundation for running lottery experiences online.
The platform was designed with both players and administrators in mind, creating separate experiences for participating in lottery sessions and managing the underlying lottery operations.
Digital Lottery Experience
Omolotto provides a digital environment where users can participate in lottery sessions through an online platform.
The system is designed to manage player participation, account activity, deposits, entries, lottery sessions, and results while keeping the experience simple for the end user.
Automated Lottery Engine
A core part of Omolotto is its lottery session and winner selection engine.
The backend manages lottery sessions and their associated entries before processing the draw and selecting winners according to the configured game rules.
This creates a structured system for running repeated lottery sessions without requiring administrators to manually process every stage.
Deposit Management
Omolotto includes infrastructure for managing player deposits.
The system records deposit activity and connects financial transactions with user accounts, creating a clear relationship between deposited funds and participation within the platform.
The architecture also allows payment providers to be integrated into the deposit workflow.
MTN MoMo Integration
The platform was developed with MTN Mobile Money integration through the MTN MoMo API environment.
This provides a pathway for users to interact with the platform using mobile money while giving the backend a structured way to process and track payment activity.
The integration is particularly relevant to the Nigerian market, where mobile and digital payment infrastructure plays an important role in online services.
Administrative Platform
Omolotto includes a dedicated administrative experience for managing the platform.
Administrators can work with users, deposits, lottery sessions, entries, and winners through centralized management tools.
This gives operators greater control over the day-to-day operation of the lottery system.
Data & Backend Infrastructure
The platform uses a structured backend architecture with FastAPI and PostgreSQL.
The backend handles the core business logic, data management, APIs, lottery processing, and communication between the different components of the system.
The system was designed to separate the player-facing experience from the administrative infrastructure, creating room for the platform to grow as more functionality is introduced.
Built For Scale
Omolotto was designed as a platform rather than a single-purpose lottery page.
Its modular architecture allows additional lottery formats, payment providers, game rules, administrative features, and player functionality to be introduced as the product evolves.
This gives the platform a foundation for supporting a broader range of digital lottery experiences.
Our Role
Greatest Interactive handled the technology development behind Omolotto, bringing together backend engineering, database architecture, payment integration, lottery logic, and administrative systems.
The project demonstrates our ability to build platforms where multiple systems need to work together reliably behind a simple user experience.
